Omm Sety Fact Sheet
Omm Sety lived her life on multiple levels, often simultaneously from the most earthy to the most ethereal: as a folklorist, scholar, political animal, loyal friend, stubborn eccentric, preserver of monuments, lover of cats and all creatures great and small, traveler in the invisible realms, and passionate soul-mate to an ancient king. To name a few.
Such a life could not be contained between the covers of any one book. From time to time the authors will post additional little-known facts about Omm Sety that were not included in Omm Sety's Egypt.
But we were not the only ones whose lives intersected in some way with Omm Sety's. Over the years, thousands of visitors to Abydos had the opportunity to spend time with her (including Jacqueline Onassis, who was fascinated by her).
